“People Power!” (Tune: “Oh, Susannah!”)

We’re here again, in all our power, many thousands strong,

and we stand in solidarity and raise an urgent song!

We’ve come together, black and white and yellow, red and brown,

to say that we’re not gonna’ let these fascists beat us down.

Oh, we’ve fought and died for voting rights; a right we must not lose;

and we stand with me too women takin’ down those who abuse.

We want Medicare for All as in H R six sev-en six,

and public schools need full funding, not just a one-time fix!

People power! Together we will stand
to reclaim our rights with all our might

          across this troubled land!

We’ve the right to love who e’er we choose, the right to have a home,

the right to safe streets free from guns wherever we might roam,

the right of folks from other lands to get full welcome here,
the right of Dreamers to fulfill the dreams that they hold dear.

We demand an end to wars and any torture in our name.

Our Social Safety Nets we will fight fiercely to retain.

No more drillin’. No more pipelines! Let’s go foss-il-free today.

Let’s empty all those prisons and throw all the keys away!

People power! Together we will stand
to reclaim our rights with all our might

          across this troubled land!

We want rights to join a union, and fair living wages too.

There are many, many more of us and they are just a few!

We won’t shut up or go back to the way that it has been.
We’ll fight ’em in the courts and in the streets until we win!

People Power! Together we’ll stand tall

as our Moral March moves forward.

All for one, and one for all!

            (Repeat last chorus)
