home and friends
life so full and free
pause to look
at the plight
of the refugees
Where there’s food
shelter too
this must be their home
life goes on
day by day
when will peacetime come?
things they once
held most dear
vanished now it seems
loved ones gone
life is hard
yet they still have dreams
