See the New York Times VIDEO of the Grannies singing this song.

Battle Hymn for the Internet

Democracy requires
we have net neutrality
For deMOcracy to function
information must be free
The FCC must do its job
Protect neutrality
Protect the internet!
Glory glory First Amendment
Glory glory First Amendment
Glory glory First Amendment
Pro–tect democracy!

The Action League Grannies of San Francisco Bay Area sang this at a rare FCC hearing, rare because it is highly unusual to have hearings with all commissioners in attendance outside of DC. This hearing on Net Neutrality was held on the campus of Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA. Comcast was subsequently fined by the FCC for violations of internet freedom.
