Oval Office with golden statues
And a selfie of yourself as pope
Plan a party for your birthday
With a military parade
Keep pretending you are Royalty
And ignore the Constituuuu-tion
Cater only to the billionaires
Who worship your name
But no king is in our future
We refused that so long ago
George Washington declined it
Because he was in the know
This new nation had no need for
A pompous little so-and-so
No king was ever wanted
And that has not ever changed
We don’t want a pathological
E-e-go-o-maniac
Hurling edict after edict
That unravels all we love
While pretending he is Royal
And bribing elected delegates
Who are hungry for power
And want in the game
But this isn’t a chess game
George Washington knew this
So did Adams and Jefferson
Who are rolling in their graves
Calling out to all Americans
Don’t give away this country
Cancel out this wannabe King
And send him on his way
