The rich often purchase an election

or at least they have a-always tried.

Why else would they gather all that money

in offshore accounts there to hide ?!?

That’s how they pay for all their desires

to be made into law come what may.

With their cronies in the seats of power

Who sa-ays that crime doesn’t pay?!

The phones that we cherish oh-so dearly

are surveilling our ev-e-ry move.

Day and night they collect all of our data

to be used however they choose.

In their game we are all unimportant

except for the data they mine.

And when we are no longer of service

they’ll kick us all in the behind.

But we are the ones in greater numbers

though ignorant we may remain.

That’s why they fear our collective voices

growing and shouting distain!

Democracy requires that we enga-age

for freedom in fact, is not free.

Someone before us has had to stand up!

Taking that torch is up to you and me!
