In late March 2011, Florida State Rep. Scott Randolph (D-Orlando) commented during a floor debate that while the GOP is loathe to regulate big business, it thinks nothing of regulating a woman’s reproductive choices. Therefore, he suggested that to maintain control of her own uterus, a woman might need to incorporate it. Randolph was quickly rebuked by his GOP counterparts for saying “u—–” on the House floor, and the word now has been banned from use in the Florida legislature. The Florida ACLU is hot on the case.
